Prior to joining the practice in 2020, my clinical experience was comprehensive of collegial counseling, residential treatment for at-risk youth, with children and families in foster care, and with adults in long-term care facilities. I currently help clients ages 6+ work through anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, ADHD, difficulty with adjustments, relational concerns, self-esteem, and perinatal mood issues.
I am very much a Person-Centered Therapist, but understand that therapy is not “one size fits all.” I most often incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based Therapy. When working with children and adolescents, I am passionate about finding creative interventions to make therapy fun and engaging, often through art and play techniques.
I earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Mount Union and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. Things that light me up most are being with loved ones, snuggling my two cats, thrifting, *leisurely* kayaking, walks in the metro parks, binging a good show, and live music. I also enjoy learning about all things energy related such as crystals and reiki.
I am excited to learn how I can best support you!
